Gateway to Brookfield project “Dennis Mobil” makes a signature statement
Dennis’ Mobil has occupied this site for over 53 years. When the Owners Dennis & Judy Treiglaff and the
ir daughter Paula Treiglaff-Brown decided to completely raise and rebuild the site they partnered up with Art Sandridge of Construction Solutions-Midwest, LLC to design and build their new project.
The design challenge was to maximize the use of the site by getting 6 MPDs, a 100’ tunnel car wash, 4,000 square foot convenience store with a 900 square foot 2nd floor.
The City of Brookfield deemed this site a “Gateway to the City” so the exterior finishes has to be exceptional. A cut stone veneer was used at the Store and car wash and the canopy columns along with EFIS at the upper portions of the store to get a level of finish that the City was happy with.
The interior of the store is unique because of its graphics package and the main store open two story atrium design. The graphic included a distinctive coffee island arch element. The arch theme was carried out at the food island near the coolers and again at the deli area. The history of the site was portrayed by using photos of key points in the sites history which are displayed in the atrium area.
All the interior finishes used speak of the quality of the facility and of the Owners. The customers shopping experience is enhanced as a result of quality interior finishes that were used. Faux finish wall painting, porcelain tile on the store floor, porcelain wall tile at the back counter of the deli area and full height ceramic tile in both the men’s and women’s restroom all say quality.
